Great "Fisherbirds"
The Great Blue Heron is an amazing
bird. They demonstrate infinite patience which makes them excellent
fisherman (I guess I should say "fisherbirds"). We spent some
time with this one a few days ago. They are very wary creatures and
difficult to approach.

The Drive To Work
This is known as the "work train". It travels up and down the Pikes Peak cog railway carrying supplies, workers, tools and parts. What a wonderful job commute.

A Train Ride to Remember
The Pikes Peak cog railway train shot form the roof of the Summit House. Not too many visitors are allowed to venture up there. With the 50 mph winds I was almost blown off the edge.

Chilled to the Bone
I spent today on Pikes Peak doing a photo shoot for the summit house management team. The wind was frigid... chilling to the bone, but the beauty was unavoidable.

The 2012 Turkey season was over fairly quickly. It's a rare occasion that I fill my tag on the first day of hunting. Usually it takes many many more hours to achieve success and sometimes the entire season goes by without ever getting a shot. When things come together so quickly it's a nice feeling.

Time Will Tell
When a new one comes into this world everyone is filled with hopeful anticipation of great things to come. This new colt is certainly no exception. "Triple Crown" winner? Only time will tell.
