More amazing sightings in the wilderness

This little fella is a Pika also known as a Cony.  They live only at high elevations, above timberline, and if the avarage temp gets above 75 degrees where they live...they will die.  They love the cold.  Each morning and every evening he would send out his call letting us (and his friends) know that he was still around.



Amazing high mountain Lily Pads in bloom.  Each bloom is about the size of a softball.


Lots of fungi, but we did not try to eat any of them.




These strange little blooms are called Elephant Flowers.  They look just like elephant heads.  See the ears and the trunks.
